Just done similar for my oldest son (18). Know what you mean about child to adult. It's a little sad in a way. He'll never be that cute five year old again.

I don't think I could eat that - but each to their own. You'd probably turn your nose up at some of the things I used to eat on a Friday night after a skin-full.

You say this is eaten raw?

Probably the bravest thing to do was say he wouldn't. Going against the flow is always the hardest. I'm with you on this one. Besides anything else, killing OBL wouldn't solve or achieve anything. Asknig the question at all shows a lack of humanity. What most of us here in the west refer to as collateral damage actually means real people. Forget OBL for a moment. I wonder how many of those who happily said they'd kill locals would say the same if those locals were their family. Their sons, daughters etc. All to easy to dismiss these people as worth a little less than us because they are so far away and different. Perhaps the question he should have asked was, 'How many new terrorists do you think you'd create if you did that?'
Please don't think I support Al Queda. Far from it. Death is probably too good for the bastards that attack our innocents- but it works both ways.

Good post. In the UK there's something called NICE - something, something clinical medicine. They deal with all new drugs. Many are not allowed due the cost to the NHS. Sometimes a patient needs a medically approved drug that is not allowed on the NHS due to its price. Comprehensive health insurance is not common here - and this can leave many people in a dilemma.

Thought provoking stuff. Lets face it, new generations are going to have plenty of problems to face - or so we are told. Youth always has its distinct identity, but there's nothing new under the sun.
    Good piece.

Wonderful piece. I guess America's youth get as much stick from the media as the kids in the UK do. Just goes to show, there are those who still can, and freely choose to do the right thing. Hope springs eternal.

Thanks for that. I think I'd just happened across a non-representative cross section.[SMILE]
